Mixed results in Phase 1 of the Winter League on a busy weekend of tennis for ELTBC. 🎾
On Saturday the MD6 went all the way to a superset in Ballinlough but unfortunately came out on the wrong side. Hard luck to Aidan, Fionnán, Gareth & Matthew. 🫂
The WD6 had a convincing 4-0 win away to Nenagh on Sunday morning. Fantastic play throughout from Michele, Sinead, Pamela & Nóra Áine. 💪
The MD4 welcomed a very strong Causeway side to Ennis and unfortunately were beaten on the day. The lads never gave up. Great play by Dan, Pete, Rob & Gavin. 🫂
The WD5 made the short trip to Limerick Lawn and came out the right side of a thrilling superset. Amazing play from Aoife, Shona, Aideen & Sarah. 🙌
And finally the MD2 battled back from 2-0 down to force yet another superset, but were unfortunately beaten by a very strong Castleview side. Hard luck to Stuart, David, Jeremy & Justin. 🫂
It is amazing to have two teams through to the semi finals, and with Phase 2 beginning next weekend, there is plenty more exciting tennis to look forward to.
