Only two days to go to our first “Smash Cancer” Tennisathon in aid of Breast Cancer Ireland on Saturday November 1st in the club. We have already raised over €2,200 which is fantastic!

Please find important information about the event below and please note the full schedule of events is starting at 1pm until 6pm but Myriam Riand is starting early, undertaking the challenge of playing non stop tennis for 5 hours! She is going to start playing at 9am on Court 4. It would be great to see as many people down at the club from 1pm to cheer Myriam on for her final hour of play. We have lots of activities throughout the day for all of our club members (junior and senior).
Schedule of Events:
· 9am – 2pm. Myriam is playing non stop tennis on Court 4.
· 1pm-6pm. Our fun club teamer is starting at 1pm. The full list of names of those who have signed up has been shared. Please contact Sinead Moloney if you have any questions. Please bring 10 euro with you on the day - €10 (per person, per hour slot).
· 1pm – 6pm - “Fun Zone” on Court 1; lots of games and challenges taking place all day for our junior and senior members!
· 2pm – 6pm – Badminton Blitz
· 2pm-6pm “Winner stays on”….Take on our top players in the Club.
· 2pm-6pm “Fastest serve”…can you become the Club Champ!
· 2pm-6pm Table Tennis Showdowns.
Plus pizza, face painting, raffle prizes, music, and lots of fun throughout the day!
If anyone would like to bring along cakes or buns for the event we would really appreciate it.
Dress Code: Wear something pink (outfit, bag, racket; the pinker the better!) And there may even be a prize for the best dressed!!
Raffle:
We have been receiving incredible raffle prizes from very generous individuals and businesses. Have a look at the attached flyer for all the raffle prizes.
Raffle tickets will be available on the day, with the draw taking place at 5pm on Saturday, November 1st. €5 euro for 1 ticket and €10 euro for 3. If you or your company would like to donate a raffle prize, please contact Clara (087 2452858).

The aim of the day is to play lots of tennis and badminton while having fun but overall to raise lots of money for Breast Cancer Ireland; a charity that we know is close to many people’s hearts. Please share our fundraising link with friends and family. We will also have donation buckets on the day. All proceeds raised go directly to Breast Cancer Ireland.
