🏸🏸🏸Our first badminton blitz of the new season saw some familiar and new faces on our badminton courts last night. After some tight battles, our eventual winners were Joan and Pavel, with Joe and Kevin in second place. Marcus and Ketan came in third. Well done to everyone who took part, especially our new players. The night finished with a presentation to our long-standing coach and club member Ciara Dwyer. Ciara has graced our courts from a very young age and grew into one of the country’s best female players and a very fine coach. She is an example to all our players, young and not so young. If you put the work in the rewards will come. Ciara is off to spread her wings and the players in her new club in Holland are lucky to be getting her, but her roots will always be in Clare so we look forward to welcoming her back whenever she gets home.🏸🏸🏸
